the beacons

shining light on hidden stories

The story of hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a long and oft-hidden one. Largely unknown and discounted by doctors, the women and men suffering from this chronic, painful skin disease (mainly Black women) are brushed aside and left to struggle in silence.

Enter The Beacons. A docuseries to powerfully and intimately shed light on these stories.

Bold creative work isn’t always easy in pharma.

This project was a labor of love that took courage and trust. The stories took us around the world — to London, Paris, Toronto, Seattle, New York — and finally aired at Tribeca Film Festival. You won’t find intimate portrayals of patient stories anywhere else in pharma.
