The flu is always serious. But every year less than half of all Americans get their flu shot. And as we all know, a global pandemic changes things. Faced with the threat of a “twindemic,” we felt the pressure to pick up the pace to get more people vaccinated… and quick.

Enter The Race to 200M. An awareness campaign designed to educate about the flu and increase urgency around getting a seasonal flu shot. Our goal: get 200 million people—the number of Americans most at risk of the flu due to age and co-morbidities—to get their flu shot.

We tapped a-list celebrity Rita Wilson to deliver our messaging and talk about the importance of getting a shot in this climate.

Our 6-week race to launch included creating a full campaign tone & branding, launch video, new website, promotional social media content and Facebook profile. It was a sprint, but we got it done, and have the results to show for it.
